Turning visions into tangible sculptures
Robert "Bob" Presto
Meet the Sculptor
“To me, stone sculpting is deeply imbedded in whatever it is that makes me who I am. It’s simply something that I must do, and without which, my life would be very much less fulfilling”.
Robert Presto, or simply "Bob" to those who know him best, is a semi-retired attorney, author, and licensed home builder who now focuses his creative instincts in the eternal art of stone sculpting. Being self-taught, with insights gleaned from ancient masters and from his own intuitive imagination, his creations exist as expressions of his passions, his visions, and his desire to create works of art that will endure for thousands of years.
Bob’s pieces, such as his iconic “Sun Disk”, leave a legacy of craftsmanship intertwined with meaning and inspiration drawn from cultures across the globe. To him, stone sculptures exist as more than just ordinary objects. They endure as stories etched in stone that will withstand the onslaught of time.
Alabaster
Alabaster exists in a myriad of layered and intertwining, flowing colors. It has been favored as a stone sculpture medium since humankind first began the creation of three dimensional art.
Limestone
Limestone is a premier stone for the art of sculpting. It is highly fossiliferous in nature, and it frequently contains beautiful striations that become apparent once the piece is honed and polished.
